As the Office Administrator, Gypsy Portugal is responsible for the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the National Program Office. Ms. Portugal provides support to the Training and Clinical Department and Executive Team in coordination with the Office Manager. Prior to joining Child First, Ms. Portugal was in the banking industry and in sales. She is committed to helping low-income communities in Fairfield County, and is enthusiastic to be a member of the Child First, National Program Office, whose mission aligns with her personal and professional goals.
Finance and Administration Department
Nicole Daoust has over 15 years of diverse experience in Human Resources, Operations, and Management. She is recognized for strategically developing and implementing Human Resource best practices, policies, and operations with growing companies. She has extensive HR generalist experience, including recruitment and staffing, employee relations and retention, compensation and benefits, compliance and labor relations, and HRIS administration.
Ms. Shaw is responsible for the management of all daily operations, including interfacing with the public and connecting with community partners and vendors to serve the needs of the organization. She also works closely with the Clinical and Training Departments to aid in the roll out of training events in Connecticut, and with Child First national affiliates. With a background that includes work in the arts, merchandising, and marketing, her diverse and transferrable set of skills enable her to work effectively across all Departments of the Child First National Program Office.
