Sally Sharp Lehman is the Founder and Principal of Sharp Lehman Consulting, LLC, and has over twenty years of consulting, funding, operational and executive leadership experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.
Sally’s consulting experience includes her work at The Bridgespan Group, where she has worked with clients to identify, frame, and solve the most critical strategic issues facing their organizations including the development of data-driven strategic recommendations to build the capabilities to improve performance and achieve long-term sustainable, scalable impact. Earlier in her career, Sally was a management consultant with Harbridge House, Inc., where she consulted in the areas of strategy, organizational effectiveness, and executive education for Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries.
Prior to her work at Bridgespan, Sally managed the Children and Families portfolio at Strategic Grant Partners (SGP), a venture philanthropy firm based in Boston. In this role, Sally managed SGP’s strategy and philanthropic investments in the areas of high-risk youth development, college access and persistence, early childhood, child welfare, workforce development, and family self-sufficiency. Sally was responsible for sourcing innovative and scalable models from a national landscape to identify and move potential grantees through due diligence and strategic planning to a potential grant. Once selected for investment, Sally provided ongoing partnership and support to grantees to ensure successful implementation to achieve target outcomes.
Sally’s executive experience includes her work as New England Regional Executive Director at the Jane Goodall Institute; Regional Director, Southeast, Cape and Islands at Mass Audubon; and Director of Operations at Cradles to Crayons, where she directed the planning and delivery of programs and operations to serve over 60,000 under-privileged children and engage over 28,000 volunteers annually.
Sally holds a Master’s degree in Management cum laude from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She graduated cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and French. Sally is Vice President of the board of TSNE MissionWorks, is Founding Co-President of the Boston Duke Women’s Forum, and serves on the Selection Advisory Council of Greenlight Fund Boston and the Advisory Council of UTEC.
